Fancy a career at the cutting edge of analytical science? We may be able to help! Continued expansion of our product portfolio has created an exciting opportunity for two roles, an Electronics Design Engineer and a Development Scientist.

As an Electronics Design Engineer you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to specify and deliver a range of key objectives to support and develop Isotopx products. Your responsibilities would include:

  • Specification, simulation, design and productionisation of electronics hardware
  • Writing of firmware and software test applications
  • Meeting mission and time-critical deadlines for product delivery
  • Assisting specification and delivery of new product development

Ideally you will have:

  • Project management methodologies, tools and techniques including requirements definition
  • Ability to work independently as well as in an environment of teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Ability to function as a team member
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Honours Degree in Electronics or related scientific discipline (ideally physics)
  • Prior experience with scientific instrumentation

As a Development Scientist you will work in a multi-disciplinary team to specify and deliver a range of key objectives to support and develop Isotopx products. Your responsibilities would include:

  • Design, test and validation of mass spectrometers, components and accessories from proof of concept though to production
  • Writing of specifications for mechanical/electronics/firmware/software teams
  • Analysis and characterisation of new instrumentation hardware/electronics/software etc, and providing feedback on designs

Ideally you will have:

  • A background in the development of scientific/analytical instrumentation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in an environment of teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Physics or related scientific discipline.
  • Hands on experience with the design and operation of scientific instrumentation
